I didn't think they had thought about the massive shadow that would be cast inside the building but in the last design image they had. I think the building would need some flexibility to it, especially with large steel structures. That's a problem for structures with horizontally extending foundations (esp. in earthquake areas). I think it is a cool design but it wouldn't fit in Australia. I like to think that the future building designs in Australian will focus on inviting the outside in and the inside out and for buildings to blend to the landscape and to be inspired by the natural environment that surround them. This building just sticks out of the ground- but it would match a cityscape. It would suite Chatswood (NSW) I suppose.
