how do you explain the concept of the delete key to someone who doesn't use a computer?
i have posed this question to many acquaintances and the answer was mostly the same -
'it gets rid of what you have'
i can see how thsi would work - but only because i use a computer. and the delete key.
i think it would be much harder because someone who doesn't use a computer doesn't get the idea of virtual memory and hard drives, right?
what do youse think?
p.s. if anyone asks, the other name for a delete key is virtual whiteout

it would be just like explaining the concept of snowflakes to someone who has lived their whole life in a desert:
ReplyDeleteDesert Inhabitant: Ok, so tell me, what is this 'flake of snow' you speak of?
You: it's pretty much just frozen rain.
[pause]
Desert Inhabitant: What is rain?
